Testimonials
“I manage a customer's frame relay network with 9 sites spread from the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean. Over the last two years, each one of these circuits has gone down at least once. Before I used Kiwi's Syslog Daemon, I had to wait for a remote user to be impacted by an outage before I was aware of it. Only then, sometimes hours after the onset of the outage, could I place a call to the service provider for them to begin their troubleshooting. Now, when circuit goes down, I have the Syslog Daemon page my cell phone with a text message informing me of the circuit status and the circuit ID. It saves countless man-hours on the part of the customer, the service provider and me, the consultant. In the future, I plan the use the Syslog Daemon to generate bandwidth usage and circuit availability reports for my customers.”

“Thought I'd let you know I've got Kiwi CatTools installed and running. It took about half an hour to add in two dozen devices and setup some schedules. It works very well. Kiwi CatTools fills an important need in backing up our configuration files and automating our change management processes. The ability to send messages to Kiwi Syslog Daemon for display in our NOC when a change is made is great. Through Kiwi Syslog Daemon, we're even able to setup notifications to our engineers cell phones when techs make changes. It's just great. I'll sleep better tonight than I have in a long time.”

“I thought you might find this interesting. Your Syslog program helped me catch a hacker in action! My Internet Provider (whom is now about to be "sacked") was supposed to be providing my firewall. We knew we were fairly safe from intrusion from outside the firewall (Internet) BUT!!! not from inside the firewall. The clowns left us wide open to their other customers. In fact ALL their customers are (or were) open to intrusion from other customers. To make a long story short... One of the ISP's other customers realized this and tried to hack my main router. Kiwi's Syslog Daemon was the first trip wire that got him. I've got logging turned on all routers so when this guy tried it, I got a message on the screen with his offending IP address. The president of the ISP and I had "a nice chat". He's now made some "needed changes". Thought that would make your day. It made mine. Cheers!”
