Send a test message using Kiwi Syslog Daemon

Kiwi Syslog Daemon has the ability to send a test message to its self, via the localhost address, to test whether or not it is set up correctly.

Use the File | Send test message to localhost menu option, to send a test message.

If successful, this message will be displayed in the grid as shown in the image below.
