Check the Kiwi Syslog Daemon Error log...

Any errors that Kiwi Syslog Daemon has, will be logged to a file called Errorlog.txt. This file is located in the installation directory and can provide valuable information when trying to isolate a problem.

If you check the error log and find a message similar to “…unable to bind to UDP port 514…” then you should move to the next step.
