Confirm that messages are actually arriving...

If you have configured your network devices, and Kiwi Syslog Daemon is not receiving or displaying messages, then you should confirm whether or not the messages are actually arriving at your system.

To confirm this, we recommend that you use a packet capture tool, such as Ethereal, http://www.ethereal.com
You can use Ethereal to filter for and display any syslog information that is sent to your system.

If you have confirmed that syslog messages are arriving on your system but you are still not receiving or displaying any information in Kiwi Syslog Daemon, then you should move to the next step.
