If you have configured your network devices, and Kiwi Syslog Daemon is not receiving or displaying messages, then you should confirm whether or not the messages are actually arriving at your system. To confirm this, we recommend that you use a packet capture tool, such as Ethereal, http://www.ethereal.com For help setting up Ethereal see the following article: HOW TO: Set up Ethereal to capture syslog messages If you have confirmed that syslog messages are arriving on your system but you are still not receiving or displaying any information in Kiwi Syslog Daemon, then you should move to the next step.
