INFO: Minimum system specifications

The system requirements needed to run Kiwi Syslog Daemon are:

Minimum: Pentium 200 with 32MB Ram.
Recommended: 2 GHz processor with at least 256MB RAM

If you are wanting to install Kiwi Syslog Daemon as a service: you require either Windows NT4 (Server or Workstation), Windows 2000 (Server or Professional), Windows XP Professional or Windows 2003.

If you are installing Kiwi Syslog Daemon as a standard (Non-Service) interactive application then you can use Windows 95 *, Windows 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP or 2003.

* To run Kiwi Syslog Daemon on Windows 95, the following Microsoft updates are required.

DCOM for Windows 95:

Winsock2 for Windows 95:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/contents/WUAdminTools/S_WUNetworkingTools/W95Sockets2/Default.asp

Windows Common Controls update:

In some situations, you may need to install Internet Explorer 4 or later on the system as well.

After applying the updates, reboot the system and reinstall Kiwi Syslog Daemon.
