I've never come across a better tool for logging, filtering, and notification as the Kiwi Syslog Daemon.

If you are running a Device.Backup.Running Config activity and the difference reports are not being generated then please read on;

The HTML compare report and the summary diff text report are only created when changes are detected between the current config (captured from the device when the activity runs) and the last saved config file on disk (i.e. as specified in the 'Current Config File' field on the options tab for the activity).

If CatTools can not find a current config then it will assume that this is the first time the activity has been run for this device and will therefore not do a compare.

If you have included %DateISO% or %TimeHHMM% filename variables within the 'Current Config File' field on the activity options tab then when the activity runs the variables will be replaced by the current date /time. This will result in CatTools not finding the actual last saved config and therefore not completing a compare.
