HOW TO: Get functionality added to a device

If you are using CatTools and find that a particular device type does not run one of the Activities that you need it to, then please let us know. We will work with you to update the script and include the functionality that you need.

You may ask, "Why wasn't support included to begin with?"

Well, often we prepare device scripts based upon logs sent to us by users. If the logs do not include the commands we need for a report or an activity then we would rather omit it than guess at how it might work. We can after all always add it with your help at a later date if it is important to you.

From CatTools v3.3.2, there is now a facility to create your own custom device and activity scripts. Therefore if you have a specific report requirement that CatTools does not currently cater for, you may be able to create the report yourself rather than waiting for it to be added in a future CatTools release.
