| Symptoms The CatTools service intermittantly stops or crashes after the manager interface is loaded.
Cause It is most likely that this issue will only be experienced intermittantly, due to the specific conditions that are required in order to replicate the crash. These conditions are: - The CatTools service is currently running an activity when the manager interface is loaded.
- The user clicks the ‘Stop Timer’ button to stop the scheduler timer, then immediately clicks the ‘STOP’ button to terminate the currently running activity.
Resolve Set an option within the CatTools configuration to always turn the scheduler timer off, whenever the manager interface is loaded. - Open the MISC tab from the OPTIONS > SETUP menu item.
- Locate the “When opening the Manager should” drop-down field
- Change the option to “Set the timer to OFF”. The scheduler timer will then be automatically set to OFF whenever you open the Manager interface.
- Click OK to save your change.
By ensuring the scheduler timer is turned off whenever the manager interface is loaded, this will keep the timer button disable until either the activity currently running has completed, or it has been terminated by clicking the ‘STOP’ button.
