ERROR: Mail Error 10061


Problem:

When trying to send an email message, either in testing or with live data, you receive an error message similar to ...Mail error 10061...

Solution:

This kind of error (Mail error: [10061]) usually relates to an issue with a firewall or anti-virus software program blocking the connection from the client application - in this case Kiwi Syslog Daemon.

In order to confirm this is the case we suggest that you disable your firewall or anti-virus program then try running the test again.

It may be that you will need to add the Kiwi Syslog Daemon program into the Windows Firewall or anti-virus exception list.
