ERROR: File name or class name not found during Automation operation

Kiwi CatTools requires that the Windows Script Host be installed on your computer.
This is a component that is a part of the Windows opperating system.

If you have automatic updates enabled on your computer then your system should be up to date and this shouldn't be a problem.
However, because the scripting host update is distributed as part of the updates for IE we have noticed that some users, most frequently those running 2003 are not installing those updates.

The result is that the Windows Scripting Host can become corrupted and needs to be reinstalled.

If you experience the Automation error from above then we suggest you download the scripting runtime file Windows Script 5.6 for your Windows operating system from the Microsoft web site and re-install to your system. Please ensure that you have stopped all non essential applications running on your machine before installing and also that you reboot after installation.
If you think you are already running the latest version then we suggest you do the install anyway as this reregisters the components and has in the past proved effective in fixing this problem.

Download for Windows Server 2003

Download for Windows XP

In some instances, it may also be necessary to reinstall Kiwi CatTools to your system again after Windows Script 5.6. To reinstall Kiwi CatTools, please follow the steps in our KB article:
