Symptoms

You receive a prompt stating the following:

"Automation Error"

Reason

Automation errors are usually caused when the operating system becomes confused.
This can happen when components are added and code libraries change.

Resolution

We suggest that you make sure your system is up to date with ALL patches and service packs. Having a "mixed bag" of patches can create a mixed up environment.
Rebooting can sometimes fix this problem as it causes the system to reload components rather than use references held in memory.
