The target IP address is the machine you want to send the Syslog messages to. The target machine must be running a Syslog Daemon program in order for the messages to be received. Kiwi Syslog Daemon is a freeware Syslog Daemon for Windows and is available from:
http://www.kiwisyslog.com/downloads
The target host address can be specified either as a standard IP address or as a host name.
To send a message to the local machine use the localhost address of 127.0.0.1
