Enable capture mode
Previous  Top  Next

Capture mode can be used to help diagnose device access problems or when requested by Kiwi Enterprises support.

If an activity is failing for an unknown reason, Kiwi Enterprises support may ask you to enable capture mode before attempting to run the activity. This will capture all the interaction between Kiwi CatTools and the device to a log file. This file can then be sent to Kiwi Enterprises support to assist in solving the problem.

The "Enable capture mode" menu option functions like a tick box.

The Default is Off.

When you click on this menu option then capture mode is immediately enabled. This is shown by the presence of a tick to the left of the menu option next time you look at the File | Properties menu.

When you click on this option again then capture mode is immediately disabled and the tick mark is removed.

The captured data is stored in the \Debug sub folder and the file name is dependent on the name of the captured device. For example, a device called 2950 running on thread 1 will create a file called: DebugLog-1-2950.txt
